Author Guideline

The Lombok Journal of Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Conservation (LjMBC)  welcomes original research articles, review articles, and short communications in the fields of microbiology, biotechnology, and conservation. Submissions should contribute to the advancement of knowledge and meet high scientific and ethical standards.

The Submission Stage

Authors are encouraged to carefully follow the submission process outlined below to ensure a smooth review and publication process:

1. Prepare Your Manuscript

Ensure your manuscript adheres to the journal's formatting and style guidelines. Double-check the following. The manuscript is written in clear, concise Indonesia and English, accepts articles in Indonesian and in English, make sure the use of words, phrases, sentences is in accordance with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI) and American English Grammar for article in English language.  All sections (Title, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, References, Figures, and Tables) are complete and properly formatted.The document is saved in Microsoft Word format (*.docx).

2. Online Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the Lombok Journal of Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Conservation (LjMBC) online submission system, available on the journal's website. Authors must create an account or log in to submit their work.

3. Acknowledgment of Submission

Once the submission is completed, the corresponding author will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt of the manuscript.

4. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial team will review the submission for completeness, scope, and adherence to journal guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements will be returned to the authors for revision.

5. Plagiarism Check

The manuscript will be subjected to a plagiarism screening. Submissions with a similarity index exceeding 25% may be rejected or sent back for revision.

6. Peer Review Process

After passing the initial screening, the manuscript will enter a double-blind peer review process. Authors may be asked to revise their work based on reviewers' feedback.

7. Final Decision

The editorial board will evaluate the reviewers' comments and decide to accept, request further revisions, or reject the manuscript. The corresponding author will be notified of the final decision via email.

8. Revisions and Resubmission

If revisions are requested, authors should address all comments thoroughly and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. A point-by-point response to reviewers' comments must be included.

 

How To Prepare A Manuscript

1. Formatting And Language

Write in clear and concise in Indonesian or English. Adhere to the journal's word count and formatting requirements. Check spelling and grammar thoroughly before submission.

2. Manuscript Structure

Your manuscript should follow the journal's required format. Use the template provided on the LjMBC website to ensure consistency. The general structure includes:

Title Page

Craft a concise, descriptive title (maximum 20 words). Include the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. Mark the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).

Abstract

Write a summary of 200–250 words. Include the background, objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions. Provide 4–6 keywords to help index your work.

Main Text

Organize your manuscript into the following sections: Introduction: State the problem, research gap, and study objectives.

Materials and Methods

Describe the experimental design, data collection, and analysis methods in sufficient detail for replication.

Results and Discussion

Present and interpret your findings. Compare with previous studies.

Conclusion

Summarize the key findings and their implications.

References

Use APA (6th edition) citation style. Include recent references, ensuring that at least 80% are from the last 10 years, and primary references such as journal articles, conference proceedings and theses/dissertations.

Figures and Tables

Include high-quality, clear, and properly labeled figures and tables. Place tables within the manuscript and upload figures as separate files in JPEG or PNG format (300 dpi).

Acknowledgments

Recognize funding sources, institutional support, and contributors not listed as authors. Ethical Statement Provide ethical approval details if your study involves human or animal subjects.

Notes

Use only horizontal lines when using tables. Put table number and the title of the table on top of it. Put title under the pictures, graphics, and/or diagrams when using them.
