Author Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit their manuscripts to Kotaragama Comparativa must carefully read and follow the guidelines below. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned or rejected at the initial stage by the editors.

| 2. Manuscript Structure | |
| Title | Maximum 15 words, concise, informative, and reflects the content of the research. Avoid abbreviations and formulas. |
| Author Information | Full name (without academic title), affiliation, and email address of each author. |
| Abstract | 150–250 words, written in one paragraph, containing the purpose, method, main findings, and conclusion. Must be written in English (even if the article is in Bahasa Indonesia). |
| Keywords | 3–5 keywords that represent the main content of the article. |
| Introduction | Contains the background, research problems, objectives, and a brief review of relevant previous studies (state of the art). |
| Research Method | Explains the type of research, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods. For normative legal research, specify the type of legal approach used (statute, conceptual, comparative, case, or historical approach). |
| Results and Discussion | Presents the research findings and analyzes them critically in relation to relevant theories and previous studies. This is the main part of the article. |
| Conclusion | Contains a brief answer to the research problems and, if possible, recommendations for future research or policy. |
| Acknowledgment | (Optional) Appreciation to funding institutions or parties who contributed to the research. |
| References | See section 4 for detailed reference guidelines. |

| File Format | Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) |

Kotaragama Comparativa uses the Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography) for citations and references. Authors are strongly recommended to use a reference manager such as Mendeley or Zotero. Minimum Requirements:

Authors must adhere to the following ethical standards:

| 7. Article Processing Charge (APC) | |
| Kotaragama Comparativa does not charge any submission fee. However, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of Rp 500.000 will be applied only for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication. This fee covers the costs of editing, layout, DOI registration, and online hosting. |
| 8. Copyright and Licensing | |
| By submitting a manuscript to Kotaragama Comparativa, authors agree that the copyright of the published article will be held by the journal. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given. |
