Abstract

Freshwater fish farming activities in Peteluan Village include both food and ornamental fish, including the Gemoy goldfish. The main obstacle to goldfish production is limited seed production due to improper spawning techniques. The purpose of this community service is to collaborate in increasing Gemoy goldfish seed productivity through spawning techniques that utilize current and water level manipulation.This research method consists of two stages: the preparation stage, including observation and identification, while the next stage is the implementation stage, namely the socialization of spawning techniques and training in spawning techniques, as well as evaluation and monitoring at the end of the community service activity. This community service is partnered with the farmer Aiq Ambur, a partner who focuses on cultivating tilapia and ornamental fish in Peteluan Indah village. The results of the community service related to spawning techniques were carried out enthusiastically, this is evidenced by the many questions and input from partners to the community service team. he spawning technique used in this activity is a natural spawning process stimulated by rising water levels and currents. The water level was raised gradually, starting from 20 cm to 40 cm. Several aeration points were used in the spawning pond to generate current. This community service activity successfully increased the understanding and skills of Gemoy goldfish farmers in Peteluan Indah Village, particularly in the application of spawning techniques that utilize current engineering and water level control.
