Peer Review Process
Jurnal Diskresi will only publish manuscripts that strictly follow its Author Guidelines and Manuscript Preparation Format. All submitted manuscripts will first be assessed by the Managing Editor to ensure conformity with the journal’s focus, scope, and technical requirements.
Manuscripts passing the initial screening will be assigned to two peer reviewers through a double-blind peer review process, based on their expertise and experience in the field of constitutional law or closely related disciplines. To ensure consistency, Jurnal Diskresi uses a standardized review form that covers the same assessment items for each reviewer.
Reviewers are required to assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:
-
Originality and novelty of the topic
-
Clarity and coherence of presentation
-
Theoretical and/or empirical contribution to constitutional law
-
Methodological soundness
-
Relevance to the scope of Jurnal Diskresi
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the Editorial Board will make the final decision. The possible decisions are:
-
Accepted (without revision)
-
Accepted with Minor Revisions (authors are required to revise within a specified time)
-
Accepted with Major Revisions (authors are required to revise extensively within a specified time)
-
Rejected (typically due to reasons such as being out of scope, significant conceptual or methodological flaws, or poor writing quality)
To maintain academic integrity and avoid plagiarism, all manuscripts are checked using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity scores or containing plagiarized content will be automatically rejected. For detailed plagiarism policies, please refer to the Plagiarism Policy page.
Authors must also submit a signed Declaration of Originality, affirming that the manuscript is original, that all co-authors have agreed to its submission, and that all sources have been properly cited. The corresponding author must also declare that they have the authority to submit and represent the manuscript on behalf of all authors involved.
