Representasi Orientasi Seksual Tokoh Utama Perempuan dalam Novel Ra’ihat al-Qirfa: Kajian Psikoanalisis Freud

Novel Ra'ihat al-Qirfa karya Samar Yazbek menghadirkan narasi kompleks tentang identitas dan
hasrat perempuan dalam konteks sosio-kultural Arab yang represif. Penelitian ini bertujuan
mengungkap dinamika psikologis pembentukan orientasi seksual tokoh utama perempuan melalui
struktur naratif novel tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif deskriptif dengan
mengintegrasikan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud meliputi struktur kepribadian (id-ego
superego), fase perkembangan psikoseksual, dan mekanisme pertahanan yang diintegrasikan
dengan analisis sekuens untuk memetakan transformasi kronologis karakter. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa orientasi seksual protagonis terbentuk melalui konflik internal antara hasrat
(id), realitas sosial (ego), dan norma moral (superego), dengan represi dan sublimasi sebagai
strategi psikologis utama dalam menghadapi tekanan heteronormatif; proses tersebut berlangsung
bertahap melalui pengalaman traumatis masa kanak-kanak, kesadaran hasrat non-normatif, hingga
negosiasi identitas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa orientasi seksual tokoh utama merupakan
hasil interaksi kompleks antara pengalaman psikologis individual dan konstruksi sosial-budaya
yang membatasi, sehingga novel ini dapat dibaca sebagai kritik terhadap heteronormativitas dalam
masyarakat Arab
