Abstract
Abstrak Menganalisis konflik dalam naskah drama Bila Malam Pertambah Malam karya Putu Wijaya, dengan fokus pada peran konflik dalam membentuk alur dan tema. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini mengungkap konflik internal tokoh utama, Nyoman, antara tradisi keluarga dan keinginan pribadi, serta benturannya dengan ibunya, Ratu Ngurah. Latar malam dan tempat terbatas memperkuat ketegangan emosional tokoh. Konflik ini menggambarkan tema pencarian jati diri, kebebasan individu, dan batasan sosial, serta memberikan pesan moral tentang keseimbangan antara keinginan pribadi dan kewajiban sosial melalui berbagai resolusi konflik. Kata kunci: Bila Malam Pertambah Malam, konflik, kebebasan. Abstract Analyzes the conflict in the drama script Bila Malam Pertambah Malam by Putu Wijaya, focusing on the role of conflict in shaping the plot and theme. Using qualitative descriptive methods, this study reveals the internal conflict of the main character, Nyoman, between family tradition and personal desires, as well as his clash with his mother, Ratu Ngurah. The night setting and limited space enhance the emotional tension of the characters. This conflict illustrates the themes of searching for identity, individual freedom, and social limitations, and provides a moral message about the balance between personal desires and social obligations through various conflict resolutions.
