Plagiarism Policy
The Indonesian Journal of Aquaculture Medium is committed to maintaining academic originality and preventing plagiarism throughout the publication process.
All submitted manuscripts are subject to originality assessment and may be examined using Turnitin or other appropriate similarity-detection software.
JMAI requires manuscripts to achieve a similarity index below 25% before proceeding to final publication approval.
Manuscripts exceeding this threshold must be revised to address excessive textual similarities and ensure appropriate attribution to the original sources.
For manuscripts with similarity scores between 25% and 35%, editorial guidance may be provided to assist authors in improving the manuscript's originality and citation practices. Manuscripts exceeding 35% require substantial revision by the authors before further consideration.
Similarity scores are interpreted alongside editorial assessment. A high similarity score does not automatically establish plagiarism, and a score below the prescribed threshold does not guarantee the absence of plagiarism.
The journal prohibits direct copying, unattributed paraphrasing, misappropriation of research data, and other forms of academic plagiarism.
Serious plagiarism or repeated failure to correct identified problems may result in manuscript rejection or appropriate post-publication action.
