Correction and Retraction
Corrections and Retractions
The Journal of Fish Nutrition amends the publication record when errors or integrity concerns are identified.
Corrections
A correction addresses material errors when most findings and conclusions remain reliable. Notices explain amendments and link to the article. Substantive changes are not made silently.
Expressions of Concern
An expression of concern may alert readers to serious unresolved issues while an assessment remains ongoing.
Retractions
Retraction may be appropriate for unreliable findings arising from major errors or misconduct, or serious problems such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research. Notices identify the reasons and retracting party and link to the article. Articles generally remain accessible with clear retraction markings.
Procedure
Authors or readers may report concerns through the email address on the Contact page. Editors assess evidence, seek authors’ responses, and involve institutions where appropriate. Editorial decisions do not necessarily require every author’s agreement. These actions protect the reliability of the literature.
