Peer Review Process
The manuscript received by the Journal of Fish Health (JFH) will be reviewed in two stages. In the first stage, the manuscript will be reviewed (the title and completeness of the manuscript components) as part of the initial selection by the section editor. If the manuscript has a missing component, we will return it to the author(s) to be revised. If the component is complete, it will go directly to the next stage. In the second stage, the manuscript will be reviewed by two reviewers (sent to the peer reviewers) with a double-blind system based on the expertise of each reviewer. Afterward, the manuscript will be returned to the author(s) for revision.
The peer reviewers will assess all the substantial and technical aspects of the manuscript text they receive. The peer reviewers work with the Journal of Fish Health (JFH) in fisheries science in accordance with the expertise and experience of their fields both nationally and internationally.
