Bahasa dalam karya sastra tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga merepresentasikan hubungan sosial antar tokoh melalui penggunaan tuturan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi Face Threatening Acts (FTA) dan strategi kesantunan dalam dialog cerpen Gerimis karya Raditya Dika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta berlandaskan teori kesantunan Brown dan Levinson. Data penelitian berupa tuturan dialog dalam cerpen yang mengandung unsur FTA, yang dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca dan catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi jenis FTA serta mengklasifikasikan strategi kesantunan yang digunakan tokoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai bentuk FTA seperti permintaan, kritik, penolakan, dan ketidaksetujuan. Untuk meminimalkan ancaman terhadap muka lawan tutur, tokoh menggunakan strategi kesantunan berupa bald on record, positive politeness, negative politeness, dan off record. Penggunaan strategi tersebut mencerminkan upaya menjaga hubungan interpersonal sekaligus mencapai efektivitas komunikasi dalam interaksi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi kesantunan berperan penting dalam mengelola potensi konflik dalam tuturan sastra
