Peer Review Process

Jurnal Kedokteran (Unram Medical Journal) is committed to the prompt evaluation and publication of fully accepted papers, while maintaining the highest standards of scholarly integrity. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, relevance, and originality of the content.

Key features of the peer review process include:

  • Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

  • Manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope will not be considered for review.

  • All papers are reviewed by at least two qualified reviewers and members of the Editorial Board. Additional expert reviews may be sought at the discretion of the Editors when necessary.

  • Authors will be notified if additional rounds of review are required.

  • Final publication decisions are made by the Editors-in-Chief, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and overall scientific merit.

  • Authors of manuscripts that are not accepted will be notified promptly.

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents, and all reviewers and editors are expected to maintain strict confidentiality throughout the review process.

Reviewers and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest—including competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors—and recuse themselves from the review process if objectivity cannot be assured. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must not be used for personal or competitive advantage.

To uphold academic integrity, all submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected.
