Optimasi Pelarut Pada Ekstraksi Senyawa Fenolik Dari Daun Kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) Menggunakan Simplex Lattice Design

Latar belakang: Kelor (Moringa oleifera L.) merupakan bahan alam yang kaya akan antioksidan salah satunya senyawa fenolik. Pengembangan daun kelor sebagai sumber antioksidan membutuhkan pelarut yang tepat untuk memaksimalkan kadar senyawa fenolik yang diperoleh dari daun kelor sehingga perlu dilakukan optimasi pelarut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan komposisi pelarut etanol 96% dan aquades yang optimum untuk ekstraksi senyawa fenolik dari daun kelor menggunakan metode Simplex Lattice Design (SLD) dan menentukan kadar fenolik total dari daun kelor berdasarkan komposisi pelarut optimum.Metode: Metode penelitian meliputi proses ekstraksi sonikasi dengan 5 variasi komposisi pelarut etanol 96%:aquades (P1=100:0), (P2=75:25), (P3=50:50), (P4=25:75), (P5=0:100). Optimasi komposisi pelarut menggunakan metode SLD dengan respon berupa kadar fenolik total. Kadar senyawa fenolik total ditentukan dengan metode Follin-Ciocalteu menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis.Hasil: Kelompok pelarut dengan kadar fenolik yang optimum adalah kelompok P1 (etanol 96% 100 bagian dan aquades 0 bagian) dengan kadar fenolik total sebesar 3783,583 mg GAE/g ekstrak.Kesimpulan: Semakin besar proporsi etanol 96% pada pelarut ekstraksi menunjukkan semakin besar pula kadar fenolik total ekstrak daun kelor.Downloads
