Throwing garbage in densely populated areas around rice fields results in contamination of irrigation water flowing through irrigation channels in the local area. Polluted irrigation water used for irrigation of rice plants disrupts rice productivity in densely populated areas. This study aimed to determine the quality and status of water quality as a source of irrigation for rice plants in Pagesangan Village, Mataram City, by analyzing physically and chemically. The research method used is a descriptive method that is quantitative in nature using survey techniques, and the data obtained is analyzed in the laboratory. The research was conducted by sampling at two points: the surface and bottom of the irrigation channel. The research results and the analysis of chemical and physical parameters, namely the pH, TDS, Na, Ca, Mg and K parameters, all obtained values that meet the water quality requirements for irrigation. Both irrigation water sampling points are classified as eligible water quality status because the average value of the analysis is still at the required irrigation standard value according to the classification of PP RI No. 82 of 2001 class VI.
