Abstract

The process of drying coffee beans using a solar dryer dome is an innovative and efficient method that involves controlling temperature and air humidity. This is done because the climate in Karang Sidemen village is highly fluctuating and not conducive to coffee drying. This research aims to design a system to monitor and control temperature and humidity in real-time, using SHT10 sensors and TTGO LoRa ESP32 SX1276 modules as data transmitters and receivers. The research method used is experimental, testing the performance of the solar dryer dome in Karang Sidemen Village equipped with LoRa sender. From outside the solar dryer dome, data is monitored using LoRa receiver within LoRa's range. Research parameters include air temperature and humidity. The results show the effectiveness of the system in monitoring and controlling temperature and humidity on the outer door wall of the solar dryer dome, with a maximum temperature reaching 50°C and minimum humidity reaching 18.9%. The temperature and humidity control and monitoring system using LoRa contribute to the efficiency, quality, and safety of the coffee bean drying process.
