This community engagement program was designed to strengthen the capacity of residents in Kampoeng Oase Songo, Simomulyo, Surabaya, in managing organic waste through the cultivation of maggots (Hermetia illucens) and the production of high-nutrient fish pellets as an alternative feed source. The program adopted an appropriate technology approach consisting of maggot farming training, pellet formulation, digital business record-keeping, and digital marketing workshops. The formulated pellets achieved a crude protein level of 30–32% and metabolizable energy of 2900–3100 kcal/kg, thereby meeting the nutritional requirements for both fish and poultry feed. In parallel, the digital marketing training enhanced participants’ capacity in product branding, content creation, and the effective use of e-commerce platforms. Overall, the program not only improved residents’ technical and entrepreneurial skills but also reinforced local circular economy practices. Furthermore, it provided tangible contributions to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in advancing food security (SDG 2) and promoting sustainable waste management (SDG 12).
