There is still very little information about embryonic development (embryogenesis). The purpose of this study was to determine the development of the embryo. The study was conducted on March 27 to May 25, 2023 at the Muntilan Fish Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory, Central Java. Observations were made on the spawning eggs of 1 male Pearl catfish and 1 female pearl catfish. The material was analyzed descriptively with the help of images of the developmental phases of each egg and information on the hatching time of the eggs. The results showed that the embryonic development of Pearl catfish includes the phase of Zygote cell division (clevage), 27 minutes from 22:22 to 22:45, morula Stage 2 hours from 22:45 to 00:45, blastula stage 1 hour and 21 minutes. 00:45 – 01:06, the gastrula stage lasts 4 hours 10 minutes 01:06 – 04: 00, The organogenesis stage to larval hatching 1,225 minutes or 20 hours 25 minutes from the initial stage. Hatchability of eggs in this study was 83.47%.
Etta Elis Dayanti Sinuhaji, Zainal Usman, Riris Yuli Valentine Copyright (c) 2024 Indonesian Journal of Aquaculture Medium https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/3945 Tue, 28 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Effect of Papaya Seed Freshing (Carica papaya) With Different Dosage As A Herbal Medicine Against The Parasite Argulus Indicus On Gold Cook Fish (Carassius auratus) https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/3946
Goldfish include ornamental fish with many fans because of various strains (Syaifudin., 2004). The type of parasite that often attacks freshwater fish is Trichodina sp. Dactylogyrus sp. Gyrodactylus sp. Ichtyopthirius Mulrifilis sp. Lernaea sp. Argulus sp. and Myxobolus sp (Zheila, 2013). Papaya seeds contain carpain alkaloids (Khrisna et al., 2008) which is also a vegetable insecticide (Kurnia et al., 2012). The data collection method used in this study is a complete random design (RAL) with 4 treatments as follows: A: Test media without papaya seed juice concentrate 0 ml/l of water, b test media with papaya seed juice concentrate 20 ml/l of water, C Test media with papaya seed juice concentrate 40 ml/l of water, d test media with papaya seed juice concentrates 60 ml/l of water. Requests D indicates the best dose among other treatments because carpain works to suppress the central nervous system (Nur, 2002) . Duke (1992) says, karpain has the activity of suppressing the central nervous system by binding to Na+ ions to the nerves. Na+ ions function to deliver nerve impulses until action occurs. The argulus nerve is associated with a sucker that functions to stick. The pressed nerve cannot deliver nerve impulses to the sucker resulting in argulus unable to infestation of mascoki fish. Giving papaya seed juice with different doses has a very significant effect on argulus parasites, 60 ml/l (treatment d) can suppress very high argulus namely 30.56%, a 40 ml/L donation (treatment C) can suppress argulus ie 25% of 20 ml/L (treatment B) can suppress argulus, which the same as 0%.
Erina Puspita Sari, Didik Budiyanto , Indra Wirawan Copyright (c) 2024 Indonesian Journal of Aquaculture Medium https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/3946 Tue, 28 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Sanitation and Hygiene of Fish Nugget Processing for Home Industry (IRT) in Tablasupa Village, Depapre District, Jayapura Regency, Papua https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/4503

Vyona Mantayborbir, Ervina Indrayani, Fransina Alfonsina Izaac Copyright (c) 2024 Indonesian Journal of Aquaculture Medium https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/4503 Tue, 28 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Filtration Systems in Fishery Aquaculture https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/4744
The fisheries cultivation process requires carrying capacity to maintain water quality in order to produce maximum results in the cultivation process. Fisheries cultivation is starting to spread on a small scale (urban farming) with the aim of independent food security. This requires a solution to maintain water quality which aims to increase growth, survival and prevent unpleasant aromas from emerging from cultivation activities. Maintaining water quality can be done by using filtration or recirculation systems in cultivation activities. This scientific article uses a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach, namely using a content analysis method. Filter media is divided into mechanical (cotton, Dacron), biological (bio ball, ceramic ring), and chemical (activated carbon, zeolite stone). The use of various types of filter media affects water quality, growth and survival of fish. Using vegetables as additional filtration also affects water quality.
Rioaldi Sugandhy, Ayi Yustianti, Yoga Nugraha, Rizky Prananda, Yuli Andriani Copyright (c) 2024 Indonesian Journal of Aquaculture Medium https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/4744 Tue, 28 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Post Larvae Tolerance of Vaname Shrimp Under Salinity Stress With Spirullina Sp. Extract Supplementation: A Meta-Analysis Approach https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/4927
Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is one of Indonesia's fishery commodities with high economic value. In order to successfully cultivate vaname shrimp, it is important to consider the survival of shrimp during the post larval phase because it is one of the most crucial phases in shrimp survival. This article aims to determine the feeding of Spirulina sp. extract during the post larval period of vaname shrimp to increase the tolerance potential of salinity stress. This research uses a meta-analysis method by searching previous journals that are relevant with the topic of discussion. Furthermore, the articles that have been obtained are analyzed to form a discussion and conclusion. The results of the analysis shows the utilization of Spirulina sp. extract as an additional feed has a positive and significant effect on the weight gain and survival rate of vaname shrimp due the salinity stress. Significant results began to appear at 0.4% concentration of Spirulina and progressively increased as its concentration increased. However, the use of concentrations of Spirulina too much or too low showed a decreasing trend. These results indicate that Spirulina sp. can potentially be used as an additional feed for vaname shrimp
Innes Prameswary, Oktantia Almira Putri Mardani, Rakhesa Izzah Taqiya, Wigar Rabani, Rusdi, Elsa Lisanti Copyright (c) 2024 Indonesian Journal of Aquaculture Medium https://journal.unram.ac.id/index.php/jmai/article/view/4927 Tue, 28 May 2024 00:00:00 +0000
