Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) merupakan suatu variasi dari gangguan reflux cairan lambung yang mengalir secara retrograde hingga segmen laringofaringeal yang bersifat extra-esofageal. LPR tidak memiliki gejala khas dan gejala yang ditunjukkan sangat bervariasi, sehingga sering disalah artikan dengan keluhan gejala laryngeal lainnya. Terdapat beberapa faktor risiko yang dianggap dapat meningkatkan kemungkinan LPR seperti pola hidup yang tidak baik, jenis makanan serta riwayat penyakit komorbid tertentu seperti Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 dan Hipertensi. Walaupun sulit untuk di diagnosis secara pasti, namun penyakit ini cukup sering dikeluhkan terutama pada pasien yang datang ke poli THT yaknisebesar 10%. Selain itu penyakit ini juga dapat meningkatkan risiko penyakit sekunder lainnya, antara lain penyakit pada saluran pernafasan bawah,keganasan, dan laryngitis posterior. Sebagai tatalaksana dari kasus LPR, selain terapi farmakologis sangatlah penting untuk memperhatikan pola hidup dan jenis makanan di konsumsi.Downloads
