Kista arachnoid spinalis adalah suatu lesi yang dapat berekspansi di dalam kanalis spinalis, dan merupakan kasus tumor spinalis yang jarang ditemukan. Kista arachnoid secara umum dapat berlokasi pada ekstradural, intradural, dan intramedular. Kista ini lebih sering ditemukan pada wanita terutama pada dekade kedua. Predileksi posisi pada posterior korda spinalis terutama pada level thorakal. Penyebab dari kista arachnoid masih belum diketahui secara pasti. Banyak yang terjadi secara idiopatik, adapula yang terjadi karena adanya defek dura kongenital, maupun yang muncul akibat trauma, infeksi, dan inflamasi. Manifestasi klinis pasien sangat bergantung dengan lokasi dan ukuran kista. Biasanya pasien mengeluhkan gejala myelopati, radikulopati, nyeri lokal, maupun kombinasi gejala tersebut. Penentuan diagnosis dibantu dengan pemeriksaan MRImaupun myelografi yang akan menunjukkan gambaran kista secara menyeluruh. Tatalaksana kista adalah tindakan operasi untung mengangkat atau mengecilkan kista. Prognosis kondisi ini baik dengan tingkat rekurensi kecil setelah dilakukan perbaikan dura.Downloads
