Abstract

Hemoroid atau yang dikenal sebagai wasir atau ambeien oleh masyarakat awam merupakan pelebaran dan inflamasi pembuluh darah vena di daerah anus yang berasal dari plexus hemorrhoidalis. Hemorrhoid merupakan suatu penyakit yang berbahaya dan dapat mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari sehingga mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas hidup seseorang. Hemoroid dibagi menjadi dua yaitu hemoroid interna dan eksterna. Faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya hemoroid yaitu diet serat yang rendah, konstipasi, mengejan terlalu lama, kehamilan dan obesitas. Untuk menegakkan suatu diagnosis hemoroid dibutuhkan anamnesis, pemeriksaan fisik dan pemeriksaan penunjang yang mendukung. Tatalaksana hemoroid dilakukan tergantung pada tingkat keparahan hemoroid. Tatalaksana tersebut terdiri dari tatalaksana medikamentosa dan operatif.
