Pengaruh Eleuhterine palmifolia (L) Merr terhadap Proliferasi Sel Tumor pada Tikus Sprague Dawley dengan Kanker Payudara

Abstract

Imunoterapi banyak digunakan untuk meningkatkan response rate dari obat kemoterapi. Eleuhterine palmifolia (L) Merr atau bawang dayak diketahui mengandung senyawa fitokimia yang mempunyai efek antiproliferasi, dan telah digunakan sebagai terapi empiris anti kanker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya efek antiproliferasi dari ekstrak Eleuhterine palmifolia (L) Merr pada tikus Sprague-Dawley dengan kanker payudara.  Penelitian ini menggunakan 18 ekor tikus Sprague-dawley, dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, kelompok K, P1 dan P2. Kelompok K diberi pakan biasa, kelompok P1 diberikan adriamycin 5 mg/kgBB/hari dosis tunggal, kelompok P2 diberikan adriamycin 5 mg/kgBB/hari dosis tunggal dan ekstrak bawang dayak 105 mg/kgBB/hari selama 3 minggu. Selisih ukuran tumor sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan adalah 7,2±2,57 mm (K), 3,23±3,03 mm (P1), 3,14±2,65 mm (P2), dengan nilai p=0,157 (p>0,05). Hasil penghitungan indeks Ki-67 adalah 11,1±7,27% (K), 9,64±6,99% (P1), 9,58±3,52% (P2), dengan nilai p=0,704 (p>0,05). Penambahan ekstrak bawang dayak (Eleuhterine palmifolia (L) Merr) tidak menyebabkan perbedaan bermakna dalam hal proliferasi sel tumor pada tikus Sprague-dawley dengan kanker payudara.
