Suicide is one of the leading causes of injury and death worldwide. Suicide is the fourth most common cause of death among young people worldwide. Suicidal behavior is caused by a complex interaction of several risk factors. One of the most common risk factors is psychiatric disorders, especially in people with depression. Depressive conditions are describedasmooddisordersthat causepersistentfeelingsof sadness and lossof interest that can affect daily life and trigger suicidal thoughts. Several efforts can be made to treat depression and suicide prevention, starting with screening, pharmacological treatment, and non-pharmacological. However, there has been no significant effect in reducing the incidence of suicide.
