PENCEGAHAN DAN PENGENDALIAN INFEKSI PADA JENAZAH PASIEN COVID-19

Data global dari World Health Organization (WHO) melaporkan penularan COVID-19 dari manusia ke manusia terjadi melalui droplet, kontak dan benda yang terkontaminasi. Kontak penularan tidak hanya terjadi pada pasien hidup namun juga dapat terjadi pada jenazah pasien terkonfirmasi COVID-19. Orang-orang yang bekerja atau yang melakukan kontak dengan jenazah memiliki potensi terpapar agen infeksi. Pasien yang meninggal dalam kondisi COVID-19 memerlukan protokol khusus untuk dalam penanganannya. Meski pasien sudah meninggal virusnya masih berbahaya dan dapat menular kepada orang-orang yang melakukan kontak dengan jenazah tersebut. Penularan dapat terjadi saat semua proses pengurusan jenazah mulai dari saat jenazah dimandikan, pemasangan kain kafan, melakukan sholat jenazah, proses autopsi jenazah, sampai pada penghantaran dan pemakaman jenazah. Sebagai upaya pencegahan penularan kepada petugas yang menangani jenazah tersebut, perlu menerapkan prosedur yang aman dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri yang sesuai.Downloads
