GAMBARAN EPIDEMIOLOGI KUSTA PADA ANAK DAN PELAKSANAAN KEMOPROFILAKSIS KUSTA DI KOTA MATARAM

Upaya pengobatan dan pencegahan penyakit kusta telah mengalami perbaikan, namun nyatanya penyakit ini masih sulit tereliminasi dan masih menjadi masalah kesehatan dunia. Kusta pada masa anak-anak merefleksikan transmisi aktif penyakit ini di masyarakat serta efisiensi program pengendalian penyakit yang sedang berlangsung. Perencanaan yang efektif untuk menurunkan kejadian kusta dan komplikasinya pada anak-anak harus menjadi prioritas. Penelitian studi potong lintang ini menggunakan metode campuran kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif didapatkan dari data sekunder kasus kusta anak, sedangkan data kualitatif didapatkan dari wawancara mendalam pada penanggungjawab program kusta puskesmas di Kota Mataram. Microsoft Excel digunakan untuk menganalisa secara kuantitatif dan uji tematik digunakan untuk menganalisis secara kualitatif. Didapatkan dua kasus kusta pada anak namun sudah menyelesaikan pengobatan dan dinyatakan sembuh. Pengetahuan penanggung jawab program kusta tentang penanganan kusta di wilayah kerjanya (Puskesmas) cukup baik, namun pemahaman terhadap strategi nasional, terutama tentang kemoprofilaksis belum utuh. Pelaksanaan program penanggulangan kusta di Puskesmas telah berjalan rutin, hanya saja saat ini terhambat oleh pandemi Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).Downloads
