PENGARUH MEDIA TANAM DAN DOSIS PUPUK NPK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI BAMBANG LANANG

Abstract

Bambang lanang is one type of forestry plant that is very superior in South Sumatra, it has high ecological and economic value. This study aims to determine effect of the type planting medium and the dosAGE of NPK fertilizer also their interaction of effect the types planting media and dosage of NPK fertilizer on the growth of Bambang lanang seedlings. The research was conducted as factorial experiment, arranged in a Completely Randomised Design. The first factor is effect of the type planting medium (P) which consists of 4 levels: P1: 100% topsoil, P2: 100% humus soil, P3: 100% coal mined soil, P4: 100% subsoil, and the second factor is effect of The dosage of NPK fertilizer consists of 4 levels: D0: 0 gr, D1: 5 gr, D2: 10 gr, D3: 15 gr.The variables observed were increase of plant height, increase of stem diameter, chlorophyll content, leaf area, leaf wet weight, stem wet weight, root wet weight, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, root dry weight and seedling quality index. The results showed that the treatment type of planting media significantly affected the increase in height, wet weight and dry weight of roots with the best growing media found in 100% humus soil treatment. While the treatment dosage of NPK fertilizer is known to have a significant effect on all observation variables with the best doses found at 5 g and 10 g.
