Abstract

Waste is the remainder of daily human activities from natural processes in solid form. Burning waste is an alternative step in waste management, in large quantities and in a relatively short time. This research aims to determine the quality of smoke from burning waste in the environment using a waste incinerator machine. The method is carried out by burning organic with nozzle opening in each 1 nozzle 10 minutes 1, 2 nozzle 10 minutes 2 and 3 nozzle 10 minutes 3 waste to analyze air and smoke quality. The analysis was carried out directly at the Faculty of Food Technology and Agroindustry, University of Mataram, supported by tools such as thermocouples, air quality monitoring tools, CO2 sensors, stopwatches, and scales. The research parameters used are air quality, environmental pollution, smoke cleanliness and smoke content. The results of the analysis of 1 nozzle, 2 nozzle, and 3 nozzle are depicted in each percentage graph. The air quality average value 165 mg/m3. Air pollution average value is 577 ppm. The average smoke cleanliness level is 994 ppm. TVOC smoke content 200 mg/m3. It can be concluded that in each test, various factors influence the results. The factors that influence air quality do not have a big influence, because the more nozzle used, the better the air will be produced.
